An Irish Christmas | Nollaig na nGael

A very special concert taking place at St Iberius Church, Wexford on Fri, 22nd Dec (7pm-8.15pm). The show in that it strips back the layers to see what a genuine Irish Christmas should sound like. There will be no "dreaming of a white Christmas", no fake-hilarious "ho-ho-ho"s. What there will be is a selection of music, songs, stories and poetry that are distinctly Irish. And you will love it! While this is the darkest time of year it can be a quietly joyful time. If this concert does nothing else it will give you an hour of golden contemplative time. The show features acclaimed Wexford author Cat Hogan, poets Fintan Murphy and Máire Ní Bhriain, traditional singer Matt Murphy, acapella ensemble Credo, pianist Rebecca Warren, harpist Shelly O'Grady, fiddle player Alice Wickham McIntyre, uilleann piper Éanna Harrington and Comhaltas musicians from around the county. No admission charge. Voluntary donations to Arthur and Aodhán's Fast Appeal.
